Training In Herbal Pesticide Manufacturing

Our traditional knowledge regarding cropping seasons, crop duration and crop behavior to environment helped the farmer to work on pest avoidance instead of killing the pests our farmers keep in mind while doing research on bio fertilizers and bio pest repellant. The herbal solution makes the plan leaf unpalatable for the insects.

In addition it changes the smell of the leaves so that the adult insect is avoiding lying of eggs in the leaves as it is not able to find the usual smell. One other advantage of this solution is that is not killing the beneficial insects such as predators, pollinators and birds. We formulate the above said preparations and conduct trials in the farmer’s field as a participatory research. These were tested in different crops in different seasons and locations. Also, various herbs were tried according to the availability. They act as effective growth promoters and bio pest repellents..

As these preparations can be prepared in the farm yard itself, these are cost effective and handled without any risk . Fermented solutions contain very many microorganisms, which in turn act as growth promoters.

In our herbal pest repellent, we use different kinds of plant leaves which contain different elements which in turn eliminate the trace elements deficiency in the crop. As the solution repels the adult insect from laying eggs, beneficial insects or birds not killed.

Living soil is basis for proper plant growth. When the farmer friendly growth promoters and herbal pesticides are used either as foliar spray or as soil application, chemical inputs are eliminated and multiplication of microorganisms is encouraged. Our organization offer training and preparation of the above said formulations, which form the advanced biotechnology. Alternative practices in agriculture have time and again proved that they are not only resource conserving but also yield sustainable production. These practices work in harmony with nature making use of various indigenously available resources. The traditional concept of soil fertility has been soil health, which accounts for the physical, chemical and biological components of the soil.
